We’re going for a ride
Planar Taxi Co. is a unique theatre experience where a group of actors play a game of Dungeons and Dragons set in space and perform it like it was a sitcom of the 70’s and 80’s in front of a live studio audience.
With a core group of actor/players, one game master, and new guest stars each episode, we invite you to meet a group of interstellar adventurers who operate a taxi service to all realms and lands of the multiverse. Working with all kinds of heroic and nefarious characters and transporting them in and out of hazardous situations of every kind, PTC combines the comedy of 70’s and 80’s sitcoms like “Taxi” and “Cheers” with the heroic adventure of films like “The Mummy” and “Star Wars.” Theatrical elements help to tell the story as we bring this world of the game to life through improvisational dialog, theatrical magic and dice-based consequences. PTC creates an exciting and hilarious adventure that the audience not only watches as it unfolds but will also get to participate in as they influence certain choices and effect the outcome of the story as it comes to life in front of them.
Join us monthly for about three hours of game-as-storytelling in the mainstage at Fells Point Corner Theatre. Each new episode guarantees space-themed comedic merriment for all.
for the love of bea arthur!
who’s responsible for all this?
Planar Taxi Co. is the twisted brainchild of Baltimore-based artist, Brad Norris, with massive brainstorming support from Lance Bankerd, Lorraine Imwold, and Suzannah Norris, as well as the no-brainer talents of Zoe DiGiorgio, J Purnell Hargrove, Barbara Madison Hauck, Bobby Henneberg, Bethany Mayo, and Jeff Miller.
We are grateful to the fine folks at Fells Point Corner Theatre, as well as the Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts.
